Less than a hundred miles off the coast of Hawaii lies the wreck of a US Navy battleship that survived Pearl Harbour, direct hits from Japanese kamikaze planes and artillery, and two atomic bomb blasts.

USS Nevada was thought lost forever until it was rediscovered this week by a fleet of state-of-the-art underwater drones. The history of the Nevada takes in America’s maritime involvement in two World Wars, and the Cold War that followed.
