Barcelona officials apparently hope their new £58million per year sponsorship deal with Spotify will help them sign Paris Saint-Germain ace Kylian Mbappe. The prodigal Frenchman is out of contract at the end of the season when he will be available for a free transfer.

Mbappe has been expected to sign for Real Madrid at the end of his deal with Mauricio Pochettino’s side.Carlo Ancelotti’s side are such huge admirers of the World Cup winner they tried to sign him with two enormous bids at the tail end of the summer transfer window.

However, Xavi could be about to wreck their plans with a move of their own for the 23-year-old.Reports from French outlet L’Equipe, via Get French Football News, claim Mbappe is willing to entertain Barcelona’s advances before his time at PSG comes to an end.

The former Monaco ace is also understood to be more interested in the quality of the potential sporting projects, rather than the wages offered to him.Xavi’s side have been drawn into the race for Mbappe as they believe a move for the Frenchman will be considerably lower than a race for their other aspirational target Erling Haaland.
