Coronation Street star Catherine Tyldesley has given birth to her second child. The actress, who announced she was expecting a little girl back in October, has confirmed her daughter's healthy arrival on Thursday, April 21.Sharing the happy news with the world, Catherine, who also has a six-year-old son Alfie with husband Tom Pitfield, wrote: "We are so happy to announce that our beautiful daughter has arrived. "We are grateful beyond words and feel overjoyed that our family is complete."The couple announced the pregnancy in an interview with Hello!
magazine, where Catherine said: "We're absolutely elated. We feel so lucky. When we found out, I just burst into tears."Catherine's friends, family and fans have rushed to congratulate the star on her new bundle of joy.Ex-Hollyoaks star Sarah Jayne Dunn penned: "Congratulations guys."One fan wrote: "Congratulations!
a lovely addition to your beautiful family."Another gushed: "Fantastic news, congratulations to you all on the arrival of your beautiful daughter."While a third person posted: "Huge congratulations to you , beyond thrilled and happy for you , so much love."Catherine had previously struggled with a hormonal imbalance which made her body feel like it was pregnant, even though she wasn't.Catherine continued: "I took so many tests as I was convinced I was actually pregnant, but in fact my body was just mimicking a pregnancy."So this time, even when my stomach was a bit swollen, I just thought: 'Oh hormonal imbalances again.'"Catherine even feared that she was going into peri menopause during the early weeks of her pregnancy.She said at the time: "I was having terrible insomnia, which is still with me.
