Emmerdale won Best Soap at the BAFTAs tonight as the first ever virtual ceremony this evening. Casualty, Coronation Street, Emmerdale and Holby City were all in the running tonight, but the ITV soap clinched it this year.
This comes after rival BBC soap EastEnders was shocking snubbed this year, despite wowing viewers with a hoard of intense storylines and its dramatic 35th anniversary special episodes.
