A mum has been arrested with her two-month-old baby girl left fighting for her life after being injected with heroin. The child, who has not been named, was found unconscious with injection marks on her body by police at a home in San Angelo, Texas, on Sunday morning.
Having tested positive for the class A substance at nearby Shannon Medical Center, she was transferred to Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth, over three hours away.
Officers told Local 12 they found the baby unresponsive at a property in the 2200 block of Webster Avenue. Doctors reportedly found injection marks on her limbs her head before the infant's urine tested positive for the drug.
