The release dates for many Hollywood movies have been bouncing around the calendar as the coronavirus continues to rage across the planet, leaving many cinemas closed.
Some titles have settled on a new month, only to see that release plan come unravelled, while a batch of titles — including Fast and the Furious 9, Venom 2 and Ghostbusters: Afterlife — have moved to next year altogether.Curiously, though, the most delayed film of all time — Avatar 2 — is still on track to open in December 2021.After production was shut down on writer-director James Cameron’s long-gestating sequel in March, filming resumed in New Zealand last month.
