Aston Villa and Sheffield United players all took a knee in unison as the Premier League returned this evening.As referee Michael Oliver blew the whistle to get the game underway, all players and match officials dropped to a knee amid the Black Lives Matter movement.The display came following the death of George Floyd last month with the Premier League keen to do their bit to combat racism.Players are wearing the slogan ‘Black Lives Matter’ instead of their names on the back of their shirts with the Premier League finally returning.And all 22 players, as well as referee Oliver, showed their support towards the BLM campaign ahead of the match.Premier League players from all 20 clubs had released this statement ahead of a return to action:.
