manchestereveningnews.co.ukArmed police raided a luxury apartment block in Salford last night and arrested two men over a shooting in Morecambe. A heavy police presence has remained in place at 'Dream Apartments Manchester' on Adelphi Street throughout Saturday.
It includes canine units and forensics officers - all from Lancashire Constabulary - who have been going in and out of the block.
One visitor to the apartments said an internal door in the complex has been "smashed in" and there were claims on social media that armed police were wearing gas masks earlier during the operation overnight, although this has yet to be confirmed.
