Hollywood star Arlene Dahl, who featured in Journey to the Centre of the Earth and One Life to Live has died.Her son, actor Lorenzo Lamas, posted a moving tribute to his mother online after her death.The icon, aged 96, died on Monday in New York, it's been reported.Dahl started out as a model and worked in theatre before venturing to Hollywood, California, in 1946.She was briefly under contract at Warner Bros., after movie mogul Jack Warner spotted her and invited the icon to a screen test, before being signed with MGM.Lorenzo Lamas posted on Facebook: "She was the most positive influence on my life.
I will remember her laughter, her joy, her dignity as she navigated the challenges that she faced."Never an ill word about anyone crossed her.
