Most people arriving in the UK will have to self-quarantine for 14 days from June 8, the Government has confirmed. All but a short list of exemptions for road hauliers and medical officials will have to provide an accommodation address where they will quarantine for two weeks under the measures to guard against a second wave of coronavirus.
Home Secretary Priti Patel outlined the plans - which will be introduced early from June 8 - at the daily Downing Street briefing today.
She said: "As the world begins to emerge from what we hope is the worst of the coronavirus pandemic, we must look to the future and protect the British public by reducing the risk of imported cases. "We are introducing these new measures now to keep the transmission
