Amber Heard made "far more serious" and "horrific" claims against Johnny Depp in evidence heard in private, a court heard today.
Depp, 57, is suing News Group Newspapers for libel over a story published in The Sun in 2018 which branded him a "wife beater" - an allegation he vehemently denies.
The trial has reached day 16 and is expected to come to an end this afternoon. Depp has denied ever being violent towards Heard, and claims that she was the one who abused him throughout their relationship.
The actor's lawyer, David Sherborne, has been giving his closing statements and he branded Heard a "compulsive liar", adding: "I don't say that lightly." He told the court the actress had had lied by "tailoring her story" to change dates or split
