dailystar.co.ukAllan Saint-Maximin is set to play in Newcastle's FA Cup fifth round against West Brom at the Hawthorns tonight. The mercurial Frenchman was relegated to the bench for Saturday's goalless draw at home to Burnley after reporting a tight hamstring two days earlier.
He missed training the following day and Toon chief Steve Bruce claimed at his press conference yesterday morning he was a doubt for the Magpies' biggest Cup-tie for 14 years.
But Saint-Maximin reported to the club's training ground in the afternoon announcing his hamstring had improved overnight and he was fit to play.
Bruce then had no hesitation in pencilling him into the starting line-up as Newcastle bid to reach the last eight for the first time since 2006.
