Adorable Staffy gets into a painful predicament after raiding the bins for food

An adorable Staffordshire bull terrier on the hunt for a snack required emergency treatment at a pet hospital after her raid on the bins put her in a spot of bother.

Owner Louisa Davis, from Nottingham, had given her Staffy Bonnie her favourite fish as a dinner time treat but when she threw the empty tin into the recycling bin, the 10 year old dog saw her opportunity for one final taste.

Louisa, from Nottingham, had left the room when she heard some scuffling in the kitchen, only to return and find Bonnie with her tongue stuck inside the lid of the can.

The owner said: "Her tongue was trapped in the can and I tried to remove it myself but the tin was so sharp I didn’t want to make it worse and badly cut her." Louisa called Nottingham PDSA
