Two councillors are calling for Perth and Kinross Integration Joint Board (IJB) meetings to be open to public scrutiny. It has emerged the last meeting deciding a £200 million budget was conducted through a string of emails and not made known to the public.Cllr Callum Purves said being asked to approve the Health and Social Care Partnership’s budget in written form was “not acceptable.”He has been supported by Cllr Xander McDade.
The IJB was due to meet again on April 29 but members have been asked to agree to operational decisions being taken by the chief officer, in consultation with both the chief executives of Perth and Kinross Council and NHS Tayside.
