A young woman wants to thank a quick-thinking homeless man who saved her from an abusive drunk. Jess Shaw was waiting for a taxi outside a Tesco store in Liverpool, when she was approached by a man who grabbed hold of her jacket.

The man, who was slurring his words, soon became aggressive and began pulling Jess towards him while telling her she 'should go back to his'.
