A young dad killed in a horror crash on the M62 has been named as police announced two people have been arrested in connection with the tragedy last week.
Kyle Hempenstall, 28, was riding a motorbike on the stretch of the motorway near Salford when he was involved in a fatal collision.
Police said they were called to reports of a crash involving a Red Yamaha R1 motorbike, white Transit van and Heavy Maintenance Plant Machinery between junctions 11 for Birchwood and 12 for Eccles on Wednesday May 27.
Emergency services responded and despite their best efforts Mr Hempenstall was declared dead at the scene. The driver of the van stopped at the scene and spoke with officers.
