Neymar before making a proposal to the PSG forward.German sprinter Alica Schmidt, who earned her title from an Australian magazine, crossed paths with the Brazilian footballer at a promotional event they were both attending this week.

In a video posted to her 2.8million Instagram followers, Schmidt can be seen shaking hands with Neymar and getting snapped alongside him.She asked "Next sprint battle?" and "Should we race each other?" on social media, a competition she would fancy herself in after travelling to the Tokyo Olympics last year.Schmidt missed out on competing at the Games after failing to make the cut for her nation’s women's and mixed 4x400m relay teams, but has been bouncing back on the track after a break from the sport.The 23-year-old registered her fastest season opener earlier this year and has been sharing plenty of training videos from her base on the Canary Island of Tenerife.What's your favourite sports crossover?
