The world No. 1 has been almost immune to error over the last few years. But he got it badly wrong on the par-three seventh at Bay Hill in Florida.
Rahm stepped up to his ball, looking to finish off a routine 10-inch putt that even the world's worst amateur would have fancied.And the world's worst amateur might have done a better job as Rahm somehow failed to sink his effort.The Spaniard didn't get enough contact and watched in agony as his ball barely rolled an inch further forward.Rahm stopped for a second and rubbed the tip of his club before he knocked in the follow-up shot for a bogey.
The PGA Tour declared it the shortest missed putt of the season by any player - and golf fans couldn't believe it. One person tweeted: "Jon Rahm is one of us!
