World champion boxer Terri Harper has been slapped with a £4,000 bill for surgery after she retained her world title on Saturday night at Wembley Arena.

The win was soured somewhat though when she revealed she would have to stump of £4,000 to pay for the surgery on her crocked hand, labelling it “a lesson for not having insurance”.
However, she was no doubt smiling again when Matchroom chief and promoter Eddie Hearn stepped in to foot the ball, describing it as a “bonus for a great performance”.
