Women’s swimming champion Jamie Cail met an unfortunate end after being found unresponsive at her home, and police believe something more sinister could be at play regarding her death… On Monday Jamie’s boyfriend went out for drinks at a bar, and didn’t return to their US Virgin Islands home until around midnight.

When he returned, he walked into their home to find his girlfriend unresponsive and lying on the floor. He immediately knew the New Hampshire native needed help. Police were told they performed CPR on her to no avail. They were informed of her death upon arrival around 2:39 a.m. — nearly three hours after she was allegedly discovered.

The star athlete was 42 years old. A cause of death has not been revealed by authorities, but they have said the Criminal Investigation Bureau has taken over the case and it’s “presently under investigation.” Her being deceased upon arrival to the hospital apparently raised some eyebrows about what might’ve actually happened.
