Police were initially called to a report of a 'concern for welfare' for a woman on Routledge Walk in Harpurhey just before 10am this morning (Thursday).
The woman was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death, police said. Enquiries are ongoing.
At least three police vehicles were pictured parked up near Routledge Walk earlier today. Forensic officers were also pictured at the scene.
