A woman has died alone after a devastating nightclub fire that killed 156 people and left her suffering in agony for 11 years.
Irina Pekarskaya was 33 when she was trapped in the crowded Lame Horse in Perm, Russia, when fireworks exploded inside the popular nightspot.
Many dozens were burned alive in the inferno after the roof caught fire. It has been described as Russia's worst fire. Mother-of-two Irina tragically has become the 157th victim and died alone because of coronavirus restrictions.
She had sustained 60 percent burns to her lungs, toxic brain damage and a jaw fracture in the inferno. She was paralysed, unable to speak, and her legs and arms atrophied.
