A woman bit and coughed at five police officers after claiming she had coronavirus. Stacey Blackham, 34, was arrested on Tuesday earlier this week after a constable spotted her in the front garden of a Blackham property.

She was breaching an anti-social behaviour order and was wanted by Nottinghamshire Police. "She said she had Covid and couldn't be arrested," Matthew Dowsett, prosecuting, told Leicester Magistrates' Court on Thursday.

Blackham, of no fixed address, appeared via videolink from HMP Peterborough. She admitted five charges of assaulting officers and another of racially abusing a police sergeant.
