Matt Doherty says he would be shattered if Wolves' charge for European glory was left in ruins. The Republic of Ireland defender has played a massive part in Wolves' charge to the brink of Champions League football.
He says Nuno Espirito Santo's men are desperate for the season to be played to a conclusion with Wolves currently sixth in the table – just two points behind Manchester United.
They are also in the knockout stages of the Europa League but now everything is thrown into question by the global pandemic.
Doherty said: “I want to finish because we have a possible chance of the Champions League. “Manchester City have been banned, for now, so fifth place could get you Champions League football.” He told the Ireland Away From Home
