Manchester City begin their battle to overturn their two-year Champions League ban and prevent the break-up of their squad. City's three-day appeal against the ban, imposed by UEFA for breaking Financial Fair Play rules, will begin on Monday at the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne, via video-link.
The Blues were hit with the suspension, as well as a £25million fine, on February 14 for overstating the value of the club's sponsorship revenues between 2012 and 2016.
City branded the UEFA investigation and process “flawed” and immediately set about clearing their name – and ensuring their return to the Champions League next season – with the appeal.
