Perthshire mother has spoken of how taking to the open water has helped her deal with the loss of her son to suicide. And now Pip MacInnes (56) is inviting people from across the region struggling with mental health or grieving from the death of a loved one to try it out for themselves.
The Scone resident along with close friend Rana Marathon started the ‘Wild Swimming with Wild Women’ group in January and they have been swimming in Loch Clunie every weekend since.
Pip, who lost her son Ryan Currie (31) in October last year, spoke to the PA about how the idea came about, how it helped her deal with grief and how being at one with nature can be the “reset button” for wellbeing and mental health.
