The widow of a popular Galloway GP killed in a road accident is extending a student support scheme in his name.Fiona Murphie set up the Robbie Murphie Medical Scholarship three years ago following the loss of her husband on the A75.Dr Murphie, a former Rhonehouse Primary and Castle Douglas High School pupil, died in a collision at Carsluith on June 27, 2015, aged 52.Three former Kirkcudbright Academy pupils are among seven local students receiving £1,000 annually from the scholarship.Now mum-of-three Fiona, who lives in Bladnoch near Wigtown, has pledged to keep the scheme going, cash reserves permitting.She told the News: “I just wanted to do something positive in Robbie’s name so he would be remembered for a wee while at least.“This
