The study - from Churchill Home Insurance - examined home theft cases from the last three years, reports Wales Online.The typical home theft claim costs in excess of £2,700 with an estimated £900,000 worth of valuables stolen from our homes each November 12 alone.The research suggests the spike coincides with the clocks going back as break-ins increase by 34 per cent in darker months.People living in Edinburgh feel 76 per cent more at risk of break-ins during the winter
