Gamers who pre-ordered were suddenly being told that the price had gone up by a eye-watering £2,000.But luckily no one will have to fumble around for that kind of money.Instead, everyone will be sent a £2,005 discount code to make sure that pre-orders are “prioritised when orders open online”.The bizarre stunt could be to put off scalpers and their bots from instantly buying up all the stock.Bots could be put off by the unusually high price and won’t have a voucher code, which will require manual input, reports Metro.Unsurprisingly, the voucher codes are already being flogged on eBay for anything up to £100.There are several listings on the online market place.One preorder code is set at £202, with another boasting a buy it.
