The Trotters have advertised for the role and a shortlist is being formulated for the job. Evatt last year had his job title changed from head coach to manager, following a restructure of the club's football department.
It followed the departure of Tobias Phoenix from Wanderers after stepping down from his role as the head of football operations which he had been appointed to in February 2020.
At present, Evatt and his backroom staff are having to spin plates and juggle their responsibilities between training, analysing opposing teams and assessing potential new signings.
Evatt does not have an issue with this in the midst of the January transfer window and knowing what Wanderers need to improve.
