Louis Saha has revealed how a phone call from Sir Alex Ferguson proved pivotal in securing his transfer to Manchester United.
The French forward eventually moved to Old Trafford in January of 2004 following a high profile transfer saga between United and former club Fulham.
Saha had inspired Chris Coleman's side to an incredible start in the Premier League with 13 goals, but was eventually sold against the manager's wish midway through the season.
