And, journalist Lyell Tweed reported his way through departures and security at Manchester airport Terminal one to catch a flight to Dublin, reports Manchester Evening News.Airports and airlines have warned travellers to arrive early in order to ensure they don’t miss their flights.Lyell reports that his experience was fairly smooth despite getting lost in the departure hall due to throngs of people in the queues.The reporters flight was scheduled for 8am and so he arrived at Manchester airport at 6.28am saying: “I was expecting it to be busy but this is something else, no idea where to go, staff getting pelted with questions".At 6.30am he headed to security and was confronted by a “very long queue” for security B while he said that the line for security A was “out of the building to the extent I couldn’t see the end of it.”When Lyell reached the boarding pass scanner he claims that everyone was told to stop as “there’s nowhere to go” beyond the barrier.However he added: “Staff are being very polite and helpful to everyone’s questions in testing circumstances to be.
