Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. (born November 20, 1942) is an American politician who served as the 47th vice president of the United States from 2009 to 2017 and represented Delaware in the U.S. Senate from 1973 to 2009. A member of the Democratic Party, Biden is the presumptive Democratic nominee for president in the 2020 election. He unsuccessfully sought the Democratic presidential nomination in 1988 and in 2008.

What U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., didn’t mention, however, was that critics including some Democrats have blamed progressive positions such as “defund the police” for the party’s loss of seats in the U.S.
House and its failure so far to retake control of the Senate – pending the outcome of two Senate runoff contests in Georgia in January.
Warren also doesn’t mention a dollar figure for expected Biden tax hikes that some experts have pegged as high as $4 trillion.
