Walk to boost campaign for 'Keiran's Law' to make helmets mandatory for cyclists

Perthshire family’s campaign for a new law that will make cycle helmets mandatory. Organised by the family of Keiran Lamond (15), who suffered serious head injuries in a bike crash, it will take place at 11am on July 31 from Thimblerow Car Park.

Keiran, from Blairgowrie, fractured his skull after hitting a lamppost near his Blackthorn Place home in October. He was not wearing a helmet at the time and underwent four-hour emergency surgery at Ninewells Hospital to stop a brain bleed.The Blairgowrie High School pupil is continuing to recover from his injuries but now suffers from brain damage and will require lifelong care.
