Kurt Sammon, 54, was driving a red Transit van during rush hour when he hit a Suzuki motorbike being driven by Louis McGovern.
Mr McGovern, 30, died following the crash in Hazel Grove, Stockport. After the incident, Mr Sammon told attending officers: “I was just going to do a quote for a job, I didn’t see him.” He denies causing death by dangerous driving, but has pleaded guilty to the lesser offence of causing death by careless driving.
