Chris Kamara has thanked Middlesbrough fans for their "unbelievable" tribute to him during their home game against Rotherham on Saturday night.Kamara, who was born in Middlesbrough, was forced to quit Sky Sports at the end of last season due to the apraxia condition that affects his speech.
Earlier this week he said that he now feels like "a fraud" as a broadcaster, prompting football supporters to rally around the Soccer Saturday legend.
And Boro fans went one step further at the Riverside Stadium during their Championship fixture on Saturday evening, unfurling a banner which read: "You’re not a fraud, you’re unbelievable Kammy."READ MORE: Win 2 tickets to watch England vs Germany in Nations League action at Wembley StadiumKammy, who has over 1.8million followers on Twitter, responded underneath a post of the image tweeted by Middlesbrough's club account and said: "Wow that is 'Unbelievable Jeff' Thank You."The original snap of the banner has so far been liked over 21,000 times, showing the esteem in which the 64-year-old is held.
