Lockdown Britain will bask in a spirit-lifting 10-day heatwave starting today. The blast of sunshine “should dominate” until the end of the month, the Met Office said.
Temperatures will reach 15C as a “Portuguese pulse” blows in from the continent. A Met Office spokesman said of today: “Most areas will be fine and dry with the sunniest skies across the south of the UK.
It should feel a little warmer than of late.” Tomorrow will have mild showers but will be “otherwise dry and mostly sunny.” There could be patches of early-morning frost but they will clear quickly because of the time of year.
