Britain is set to be washed out by torrential rain as 65mph winds swoop in amid unseasonably high temperatures. Fierce gusts strong enough to bring down trees will carry a band of heavy rain across much of the UK from tomorrow, before things go further downhill for the weekend.
And that's while a 700-mile wide band of subtropical air from the Azores brings balmy weather up to 6C above the average for the time of year.
Thick fog blanketed Brits overnight into Tuesday and while this is expected to clear, temperatures won't quite be the 19C seen over the weekend.
