Brits are set to be battered by heavy rain again today before temperatures plunge in a wintery freeze. A Met Office weather warning for downpours in Scotland remains in place until 3pm Wednesday, with other parts of the country also set for a soaking.
And chill northern winds this evening will see the mercury dip as low as 1C by Thursday, although forecasters warn it will feel more like sub zero conditions.
There could even be some snow, sleet and hail in parts of the UK, with a frost forecast for Friday morning.
