The UK's official coronavirus death toll has risen by 120 in the last 24 hours. This is a big rise on yesterday's total of 38 and Wednesday's of 83.
Last Friday saw a death toll of 123 reported by the Department of Health, with Friday, July 17 reporting 114. On Friday, July 10 there were just 48 recorded.
Today's figures suggests deaths in all settings remain stubbornly steady, as Prime Minister Boris Johnson pauses the easing of lockdown restrictions and places fresh ones on specific areas, such as Greater Manchester, after localised outbreaks.
