The Russian’s lightweight title fight with ‘El Cucuy', which was due to headline UFC 249 on Saturday week, collapsed last Monday after President Vladimir Putin implemented a travel ban to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
The ban left the undefeated Nurmagomedov needing government permission to leave his homeland and take part in the promotion’s fourth pay-per-view card of the year, which was originally scheduled to take place in Brooklyn.
