UEFA insist name of Euro 2020 is not confirmed as Euro 2021 - despite change of date

UEFA have revealed that they have not yet decided whether to change the name of the upcoming European Championships from Euro 2020 to Euro 2021.

They have decided to postpone the competition, which was due to take place this summer, by a year because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

However, they have not made a decision on whether or not to rebrand the tournament as a result of the schedule change. UEFA did send a tweet claiming that it would still be called Euro 2020 despite it being moved back a year but they have since claimed that is not the case.
