Two more arrested as Stockport police crackdown on moped robberies continues

The ongoing police crackdown on robberies using mopeds in Stockport has yielded two more arrests. Raids this morning in Burnage and Lancashire Hill saw two teenagers arrested and a haul of weapons and stolen items recovered.

The two arrests bring the running total of Operation Luster — the crackdown on moped-based robbery across Stockport — to seven. READ MORE: Man, 21, found dead in nature reserve As well as the arrest of a 15-year-old and 16-year-old, this morning’s warrants secured a machete, hammer, balaclava, and a number of suspected stolen items have been recovered.

They include a moped, a leather jacket, motorbike gloves, a helmet, and some number plates. The two teenagers are being held on suspicion of robbery and remain in custody
