Two arrested after drugs worth £105k found in car on Scots motorway during ‘routine stop’

Police have discovered a major drugs haul worth an estimated £105,000 after stopping a motor on the M74. The officers were carrying out a routine traffic stop on the silver Skoda Octavia when they found a large quantity of herbal cannabis inside.

Two men, aged 30 and 45, have been arrested and charged with the discovery and are due to appear at Dumfries Sheriff Court today.

Police Scotland revealed that the car was stopped at around 9.55am on Wednesday as it travelled on the northbound carriageway near Moffat.
