Troy Deeney has been lined up for a regular spot on talkSPORT. The Watford captain has impressed listeners when appearing on the show and could be chosen to fill in for Freddie Flintoff when he has to return to film Top Gear.

The 31-year-old is currently in lockdown with his young family having refused to return to Premier League training due to fears over safety, which has since been backed by several of his peers.

It remains to be seen how Deeney would be able to balance the 6-10am shifts with his football commitments, but the Daily Mirror have reported it could be something that interests him.

He told the Talk the Talk podcast: "We're due back in this week, I've said I'm not going in. "It only takes one person to get infected
