Queen to 'help pay' Prince Andrew's '£12m' settlement with Virginia Giuffre

The Queen is reportedly planning to "help pay" her son Prince Andrew's settlement costs after he reached an agreement with Virginia Giuffre in her civil suit.The Duke of York is said to be paying his accuser more than £12million using money from the 95 year old monarch following the announcement on Tuesday, February 15.The 61 year old father-of-two reached a settlement with the claimant out of court, which means he will no longer be required to appear in court for a jury trial.

Giuffre claimed Prince Andrew sexually assaulted her on three occasions when she was under the age of 18 after being trafficked by convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, which the Duke has repeatedly denied.

Yet The Telegraph has reported that the total amount being paid to Giuffre and her charity exceeds £12million all in all.The publication went on to say that the Queen has already been privately paying for Andrew's legal costs and will now "partly fund" the settlement.
