Trista Sutter is looking back at her as The Bachelorette. If you didn’t know, Trista, 40, was the runner-up on the first season of The Bachelor in 2002 before becoming the very first Bachelorette in 2003.
In a new interview, Trista said that during filming of The Bachelorette all those years ago, the producers “sold” her wardrobe. Keep reading to find out more… “I had a connection to Saks, I ended up making a deal with Saks Fifth Avenue and went shopping,” Trista shared on the Almost Famous podcast. “This [was] my own thing, like it had nothing to do with producers.” “I get all this stuff, and I’m all prepared and halfway through, I’m going in my closet, and I’m like, ‘Wait, where are my clothes?’ and [the producers] are like, ‘We’ve been selling them’… Selling them!” Trista claimed.
She went on to claim that the Bachelorette staff sold her items at “these soap opera things where they sell things in L.A.,” even though she “was the one who organized all this stuff.” While she did end up keeping “a few of the formal dresses and stuff,” ultimately, Trista said, “they sold my clothes, not their clothes.” Trista and husband Ryan Sutter are one of the very few Bachelor Nation couples that are still together.
