Trippie Redd backed out of his boxing match. According to a new report from Hot New Hip Hop, the performing artist, who had a fight planned with YK Osiris, chose to back out of the fight at the last minute because he didn’t want to associate with “bulls**t.” Earlier in the week, YK fought Lil’ Tjay in a match that was mocked by two of the biggest names in hip-hop at the moment, Tory Lanez, and the controversial Tekashi 6ix9ine.
After the fight went down, YK began looking for a new opponent. On the 28th of May, Thursday, YK announced that he and Trippie Redd would be duking it out over Instagram Live, with Tekashi 6ix9ine and DJ Akademiks acting as the commentators.
