A college principal has spoke of his "shock and sadness" after a lecturer died in a climbing accident.Ewan Lyons was killed while climbing Beinn Dearg in the Torridon range near Ullapool in the Highlands at the weekend.
The keen climber and mountaineer was an Architectural Technology lecturer at Inverness College UHI. College principal Professor Chris O'Neill said in a statement on Thursday: "It is with much shock and sadness that we pay tribute to our Architectural Technology lecturer Ewan Lyons, who lost his life in a climbing accident at Beinn Dearg, near Ullapool, last weekend."He said Mr Lyons joined the college as a mature student in 2010, before becoming a lecturer.Prof O'Neill added: "It was his experience as a student which gave
