direct to your inboxA series of traffic-calming measures are set to be installed where a teenage girl was killed after being hit by a speeding driver.Mia Strothers, 14, was struck by a BMW as she crossed Lightbowne Road in Moston on October 5 this year, as she made her way to school.A 45-year-old man has since admitted causing the youngster's death by dangerous driving, failing to stop at the scene and driving without a licence.Following the tragedy, her heartbroken family and members of the local community have come together to start the campaign 'Justice 4 Mia.'Since Mia's death, the group have staged a series of protests in a bid to get traffic-calming measures installed along the busy stretch of road.Manchester council have since agreed.
